Transform Mesh Problem in ICEM CFD

1 Attachment(s)
Hi
I have a problem in ICEM CFD in copying the meshing repeatedly.
The attached picture illustrates the problem clearly.
I would like to copy the groove for 50 times for which I created a mesh transform copy with merge nodes option. But when I import in fluent I am getting a error of [Segmentation Violation].
I am pretty sure that the reason is due to the transform geometry because I exported once without this option and it worked fine.

Kindly help me out.

Thanks in advance

ICEM warms you that you have uncovered faces. Did you ignore this?

Yes, but I dont know how to solve this error ICEM.
The error is happening only after I do the mesh transformation. Without doing this when I export, everything works good.

I think I am making some mistakes in the selection. (I select all volumes and shell elements)

I am not sure whether I need to select the interfaces also or not. Anyway it is not working

Could you help me out. ?

If you go to Edit Mesh and then look for the icon that allows you to check you mesh on errors (third or fourth icon?). In the selection menu there is an option to check for uncovered faces (amoung many). When ICEM finds these, it allows you to fix them. I think by putting them into a part. This could be your interfaces, or create a new part.

Then at least you can see where they are. If the new part is a valid one, export the mesh to fluent to see it it works out.

If I got it right you only want to copy the mesh that is shown in the box in the upper left corner? I think mesh extrusion would be a more elegant way to go. Maybe it is possible to add 50 more layers by extrusion in negative x-direction.

Thank you everyone for the reply but I got it right.
The mesh was not representing the model properly, so the problem accured.

I reduced the triangulation tolerance and it worked :)

Dear Vicky,

What do you do to generate a mesh transform (rotate for example)
If I have 1/3 of my model and I want to rotate it to make the full model, after selecting and all I don't see an apply button to click. and also middle mouse button doesn't do it. Any help ?
