Hello Everyone,
During parametric study of my pipe geometry with (venturi inside) i have given set of new values of venturi dia to study the pressure drop behavior. But when the design point is sent from design modeler to ICEM, it failes to update and gives an error: "Update failed for the model component in ICEM CFD".

Does anyone have any idea why is it coming so??.....

Hi,

I am facing the same exact problem for other geometry. In the progress tab you can see where it is giving this error. It might be giving at Loding Mesh and Model Information.
It might be that is because of the mesh. Just run your simulation for one design point and see if the mesh is correct. In my case I see that due to change in geometry the mesh changes however, the blocking remains the same and hence I have overlapping edges. Can you check that for your case as well?

Thanks,
