Default Total thickness of prism layers in a circular pipe

Batis is on a distinguished road

assuming that in fully developed turbulent flow in a circular pipe, boundary layer occupies whole diameter (BL merges at centerline). Is there any rule of thumb what should be the total thickness of the inflation layer?
