how to mesh each part of body separately?

Hi,
I am supposed to mesh pic.1 in which the spheres are solid and the space between them is fluid. My problem is that I couldn't mesh each region separately and perform inflation in fluid region. Indeed I want to perform an inflation layer between the fluid and the solid. How can I do that?any idea? Many thanks in advance. |
Hey,
why you can't mesh the bodies in separately? In order to make the inflation, you have to select the surface on the fluid side and assigned the inflation. |
Ansys Workbench meshing cannot mesh bodies that are part of the same part independently of each other, since by definition of being in the same part, they will be meshed conformally.
To be able to mesh all of the bodies in parallel (simultaneously), you will need to split all of the bodies into new parts in Design Modeler (or Space Claim). Right click on the part in the feature tree and select 'Form new part'. Repeat for every body in the assembly. Here is a good resource to learn all about how to create inflation layers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_c...ture=emb_title |

In order to have the same mesh on the interface between different bodies, you have to apply share topology in Spaceclaim, otherwise you can mesh more bodies in parallel. I'm pretty sure about this, since Ansys meshing R2. Now (R3) I saw that there are other functionality about meshing that I didn't try. Cheers, Carlo |
