Dear all,

When I create a mesh in icem cfd and the info appears on the screen, I have several kind of elements: quads, hex, etc. However, it also appears in this list NODE: 6, and later on, when I pass the mesh to my solver (SU2) a strange error appears and I suspect that can be this kind of elements that are not good for SU2. Does anyone know what a element node is?
Moreover, it is possible to visualize the type of elements that the user wants to visualize in the mesh? For instance, I want ICEM to only show me the hex, to help me identifying the error

Thank you in advance!

Hello,

Node elements have one vertex. They do not refer to nodes that define mesh elements, but an actual zero dimension element that is typically at an existing mesh node location.

You can look for nodes that are not connected to anything else, and I believe these would be your node elements.
