Skewness and Orthogonal quality inspection

Hello all,

I have a complex body with more than 300 parts. I have given mesh based on body shapes.

The mesh is successful. I just want to know that, should we consider only average value for skewness and orthogonal quality or we should also take Min value of the node into account too?

(PS: If I don't make any sense in my question please look into attached images)

Thanks in advance,
Raj

Good afternoon Raj,

normally the Min and Max values should be your concern, since these are the elements who can be the reason for a divergence of the solution. A target value for the skewness should be < 0.25 but everything below 0.9 is acceptable. For the orthogonal quality, I am not 100% sure.

As you can see my images. I have some nodes with very low skewness and very low OQ values. But, the average seems to be fine.

What would you suggest me to do now?

Hello Rajkool,
Please check the figure below for min. ortho and max. skewness.
Best regards,
Güven
