Three output files for CGNS format?

Hi,
I'm using ICEM CFD for mesh generation. I want to use the generated mesh in another CFD software.
When I export the mesh in CGNS HDF5 format, it gives me three files: a file with .cgns extension, a file with .uns and another file with .hdf extension.

What are the two files with .hdf and .uns formats? Should I place them in the same directory where the mesh file must be in the CFD solver or they are not used by the CFD software?

Hello,

Not sure if you ever found an answer to this, but the .uns file, which is a binary file, contains your actual mesh in unstructured form and as for the .hdf file, it is used to store large amounts of data: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hierar...wer%20(HDFView).

To be safe, I would keep everything in the same working folder.
