Hello, community..

I am currently working on a wind turbine structured mesh. When I checked the 3*3 Determinant, the minimum was 0.4

However, the Quality metric was really bad with the bad cells concentrated on just one side of the domain. (Picture attached)

Kindly give me your suggestions. How do I solve this issue? Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Are you sure the determinant was above 0.4?

Since the qualtiy metric shows a minimum value of -1, i guess, that you have negative volume elements in your premesh.

There might be a few edges intersecting each other, or the automatic edge path resulted in "intersecting" blocks. Check which edge is the cause, for example with the scan planes feature.

It might also help to link edges, to force certain edges into a more desirable shape in the area where you have that issue.

Another stray error might be, that an edge has been splitted by accident and a control point is shifted into an other block. This seems not unlikely to me, since the inverted elements form some kind of plume.
