Hi, I dont have a much experience with meshing. I meshed these two cylinders.
The bottom of the cylinder will be on constant temperature. There will be small parts on the top off smaller cylinder. That is not completed yet. I want to ask, is that a good way of meshing these cylinders for that simple experience? Is any way to improve it? There are some strange cross lines in section plane view, is that normal? Ignore the strange lines, I don't believe that is really part of the mesh, just graphical.
If this is just a solid, and not a fluid, that mesh is likely just fine. If it were fluid, I would have a smaller square or octagon in the middle, and mesh outward from there, so I didn't get those skewed elements in the 4 corners. But mesh quality for a solid is much less important, especially with just 1DOF (heat transfer). |
