Regarding yellow lines in geometry.

1 Attachment(s)
I designed my model in CREO PARAMETRIC with a tolerance of 10^-6 when imported into ICEMCFD after giving 0.01 tolerance it showing some yellow lines in my design. I am attaching the figures.
My questions are
1) What is the reason behind the forming of yellow lines?
2) How to remove yellow lines from my geometry?
3) On what basis tolerance should be set?

Your help is much needed. Thank you in advance.

Hello,

Did you import it from CREO as an IGES file?

Perhaps this thread could help: https://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/an...ges-model.html

From the thread: Regarding the yellow lines
As for build topology, you want a larger tolerance to walk over the large areas and a smaller tolerance so you don't collapse the small things. This can be done under Build Diagnostic topology, set the tolerance small enough to capture your smallest features... This may still leave some yellow edges though. So lets scroll down and turn on the "single curve cleanup" option. Here you can set a second larger tolerance that will clean up any remaining gaps without collapsing smaller surfaces that were already taken care of...

- tolerance should be less than your smallest mesh size.
