Making conformal mesh at interface for MRF simulation.

2 Attachment(s)
Hi everyone,

I'm currently doing my master's thesis on aerospace engineering and I currently need to simulate a rotating propeller near ground-effect. The problem is pretty much explained in the title, I've been trying different ways to make the unstructured mesh conformal at the interface between the background domain and the body domain to produce better results but I've been failing to do so. Until now what I have tried was:

-Making both meshes separately but then they are not conformal;
-Making both meshes together by uploading a geometry with the two bodies but, doing so, the input sizes at the part mesh setup are not respected;
-Opening the background geometry and importing the previously created body mesh in order to create the volume mesh from the surface mesh at the interface.

Sadly all my attempts have failed.
As a note, I'm using all tri for the surfaces with Delauny for the volume mesh.

In attachment I have the meshes I have generated.

Thanks in advance for your answers and I'm sorry if this is a simple topic but I'm just starting out with ICEM CFD.

Best regards,
AFReis
