Did you associate the lines correctly? This looks normal to me, it’s just the mesh preview. You can mesh it and see the actual results by using a cut plane. Let us see the cut plane view.

Sorry, I meant a scan plane, the option just under the cut plane. My bad, I mix those up all the time. And also please zoom in on the feature

Hello,
Okay, I had the chance to open ICEM to give more detailed instructions. I have attached a photo. You will see the features you need in that photo. First, go to Pre-Mesh -> Right click -> select scan planes. Next, when another window appears for the scan planes, you have to click one of the check boxes (under the heading 'On') to enable the mesh to be visible on a plane. Enable one of the boxes that will give an XY plane, then press the up and down arrows on the right or left of that box on the plane you just made visible to make it as vertical as you can. Please capture and upload a photo that is zoomed in on the surface of your compressor blade with the mesh showing in this way. You nearly got it with the photo in your last message, but I want to see the mesh itself, not just the blocks. You need to just enable the mesh/pre-mesh. You can also zoom in a bit more on the surface of the compressor blade. |

You have set no bunching on the edge parallel to the blade. So your whole block consist of only 1 element. For that reason it is not strange that it does not attach to the blade. If you would set 10 elements (or even more) on the edge, then the first layer would follow the blade much better. |
