Hi all,
is still me, with the same mesh also, asking for your help. I'm trying to produce an hybrid mesh for external aerodynamics computations on an ogive-cylinder body. The procedure I followed is detailed in this post: hybrid mesh: update pre-mesh sizing of free surfaces only The problem I'm facing is an inconsistent behavior in the size of the tetras in the volume of the free part of the mesh. The domain is a typical C-shaped domain, with a symmetry plane. On the symmetry surface the tri elements grow in the expected way and the mesh looks nice. Moving further from the symmetry plane (I would say in an azimuthal sense) things go worse and in the midplane (azimuth 90deg) I have the situation depicted in the pictures (the midplane is not an actual surface in the model). I am quite inexperienced with non-hex meshes and I am wondering what could be the reason for this behavior. |

This are pictures of the exterior boundary of the hex region.
