Fluent watertight mesh quad surface cells.

Hello guys,
When generating the surface mesh in fluent meshing, the surface cells are automatically set to triangles while i need them to be quadrilaterals. The volume mesh is "Hexcore" and I need no transition region between the core and surface so i need both surface and core of "4 corner" type cells.
Thanks.

Re

Hi,

I have a suggestion that will help you to solve this issue. To get square cells on the surface in Fluent, you can do these things: Publix Passport
  1. Look for an option to make the surface mesh squares instead of triangles.
  2. If the mesh is triangles, you might need to change it to squares yourself.
  3. Look for help on forums from others who use Fluent.

Always check the Fluent guide for the best way to do this.

I hope my suggestion will be helpful for everyone.

Best regard,
Jamie

I recommend you watch this Ansys Innovation Course for Surface Mesh Generation in Fluent Meshing (Watertight Work Flow): https://courses.ansys.com/index.php/...-surface-mesh/

BTW, you have titled this thread with [ANSYS Meshing]. ANSYS Meshing and Fluent Meshing are different applications.
