Hi everyone,

I’m a mechatronics engineer planning to build a large 3D printer (600x600x600 mm). My current printer, an Ender 3, often faces nozzle clogging issues with ABS, while PLA prints fine.

Since I’m not an expert in fluid flow and thermal analysis, I’m exploring ANSYS to simulate nozzle performance and identify the causes of clogging (e.g., temperature or flow restrictions).

Could anyone guide me on:
1. Using ANSYS for simulating molten plastic flow in a nozzle?
2. Optimizing the design to improve ABS printing reliability?
3. Recommended resources or approaches for someone new to this?
