Hi guys
I am trying to understand why ICEM CFD is performing slowly. My workstation is equipped with an Intel Xeon Silver 4210 CPU. Generating a mesh takes more than 1 to 2 hours, and sometimes the process even crashes. |

- It depends on the meshing method you use. Can you elaborate?
- It depends on your geometry. If the geometry is sloppy, then ICEM has a lot of holes to repair. This takes long. The solution is to provide a smooth geometry. - It also depends on how many elements you have. The more, the longer it takes... - Did you create Body points. It you don't, then ICEM doesn't understand your geometry. - Are you sure you havve turned on "Parallel meshing". |

Thanks for your answer.
I was using only tetra mesh generation. I also realized that I had been running it in single-core mode. After switching to parallel processing, the meshing speed improved significantly. |
