Hi,
I am really new in CFD but I have to write a seminar paper using CFD programs. My first question is: Is it possible to create a geometry with CFX11.0 / Ansys geometry modeller and save it as a .geo file? I only found threads about this file type in relation with CFX4. My intention is: I need a model of a simple pipe, that I could use for first tests in OpenFOAM. As I have the possibility to use OpenFOAM and CFX11.0 I thought I could create a mesh for OF using CFX. Thanks |

hi,
i donīt know about the .geo file. Which version of OF do you use? As far as i am concerned there is a tool like cfxmesh ToFoam... but it isnīt working within the current version of OF. I did use ICEM and export mesh as .msh (Fluent_V6) and converted by using FluentMeshToFoam. Worked pretty good.Tell me if this is helpful for your task. neewbie |
