I am trying to mesh face that has the shape of a horseshoe, as shown in the first figure by the red edged face, with the shown edge meshing. I noticed distortions in the face mesh along the closest edge as shown in the second figure, I'm not sure why this is happening. I created this face by splitting the volume at the face's current location using a plane. Could this have anything to do with what is happening? I used the map option when I meshed the face
