Hi guys beginner here so take care. I've done a bit of searching on here before but I've struggled to find what I'm looking for.

Basically, I'm a beginner with CFD and am using Ansys to construct a mesh to study the flow around two buildings.

I have looked a bit online and here in the forums and although I get a lot of useful information that explains meshing and I understand it, I am not sure how to use this knowledge in ansys properly.

For example, I am using a bias factor and have divided my fluid domain up (so I can make the concentration finer at the main geometry) but my orthogonal, aspect ratio and other measures of quality all seem to be pretty poor and I'm unsure how to fix each individual problem.

Is their an idiots guide somewhere I can read? Everything either seems too advanced or too simple for my needs.

Thank You.

Thanks for the reply.

Simplified the geometry to this so far:

I could make further simplifications if necessary.

What would you suggest would be the best way to mesh an object like this and how would I go about learning how to do it?

if you are using full size model then make it small and use a smaller model. Use sizing function at critical areas where you want fine mesh.
Your geometry is simplified enough I think
