3d pipeline inlet separtion
 

can anybody hellp me please ? i want to separte the Velcoity inlet as shown in the picture but only at the inlet once they enter the pipe they start mixing together so how to separate the inlet without affecting the flow in the pipe.

Split the surface into 2 parts...
 

Do you mean you want to split the inlet in two? You could segment the surface (draw a line and split the surface) and then put each half into its own part, INAIR or INWATER... then mesh, apply bocos, etc.

If you want the solver to calculate the percentage water or percentage air, then you will need just a single INLET and figure out how to do that on the solver side.

when i separate by drawing a line and then splitting when the flow enters they dont mix as if there is a wall separating the upper area from the lower area......

for the second suggestion if i did one inlet can i control the velocity inlet speed of air and its percentage and the velocity inlet of water and its percentage if yes how

Yes, I think you can do it in the solver (which is what it sounds like you need to do)...

But you haven't even told us which solver you are using.:confused:

I recommend going over to that solvers section on CFD-Online (or directly contacting that solvers support team) and ask your question again.

sorry i didnt mention the solver i draw on gambit and then do the simulation on Fluent
