Install Gambit in Win Vista Ultimate
 

Hi

I buy a Laptop with operative system: Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bits, but when I install my exceed and my gambit appears a message, this message says:

Gambit build SP2006032921.
Warning : The current transport does not permit the attempted TCPIP connection.
TRANS(SocketINETGetAddr): tnamebysocket() failed
TRANS(SocketINETConnect): TRANS(SocketINETGetAddr) () failed
TRANS(Open): transport open failed for tcp/familiaalcalde:0
Unable to open display

Could you help me with that?

Which Exceed version did you use?

My Exceed version is: Exceed Hummingbird 2008

The Exceed version is proper. I also use it on Vista x64 Ultimate.

Try installing Gambit again, removing all the security limitations from firewall

64 of one, 32 of the other?
 

I thought Gambit only supported Linux 64, not Windows 64? Are you running it as a 32 bit application?

Well actually I try tu run Gambit and Exceed in 64 bit application, I have a friend who have Gambit in 64 bit application and it run perfectly.
