Hi,

I've made a 2D mesh in ICEM tetra/prism and I have to send it to someone to view but they can only view it using either Pointwise Gridgen v15.13 or Tecplot 360.

I've tried exporting setting the Output -> Solver to Fluent, Nastran, CGNS, Plot3d from ICEM thinking that these are the most common formats but they don't open in either gridgen or Tecplot.

Please can someone help me with this.

Thanks.

Hi siw:

I'm not sure what a 2D tet/prism mesh is (i.e. tets and prisms are 3d cells). If you tell me what cell types are in the mesh and how they are arranged, that would help me figure out which file formats might work. Right off the top of my head, maybe VRML or STL would do the trick for Gridgen.

Will have to let our friends at Tecplot talk about their mesh import formats.

Hi,

Tetra/Prism is the licence type I have for ICEM CFD (I don't have the Hexa licence so the Blocking tab and features are not available to me).

Since my original post I've gotten around the problem.

Regards

Hi. You can export you mesh to fluent or another solver and then export to tecplot.
