Hello, I have a problem with generating a 2d structured mesh around a solid object by using the "ogrid" option in ICEM 10.0. The case in question is made up by the object itself, immersed in a rectangular ambient with inflow and outflow sections, and the solver I want to use is Fluent (in particular I need to obtain the mesh in a .msh format). Can someone of you give me a little help (maybe redirecting me to a good tutorial case)?

Thank you in advance

The geometry was simply made up by a rectangular profile. Actually now I have resolved my problems with the usage of Icem, but If I can give you an advice this software is not (in general) the best choice for meshing complex geometries...By the way, thank you for the reply

ICEM CFD works very well on complex geometries. In fact it is probably the most advanced structured hexa mesher available. We have users working on everything from aircraft and automobiles to skeletons and jet engines.

But there is a learning curve and you should probably do at least one tutorial.
