Size function problem

Hi

I’m modeling solar panels in 2D in gambit (for my thesis) and I wanted to use a size function. I First attached a boundary layer around the solar panel, but the cells just next to the boundary layer are highly skewed. Especially at the corners. It looks like the size function starts with cells which are too big. For the size function I use the meshed type with a growth rate of 1.1

Can anyone help me with this problem?

Thanks in advance

hi
may be you can use fixed size function. it's just a attempt.

Thx!

I was wondering what is an acceptable skewness for the mesh elements? Because some people told me less than 0.8 and other told me less than 0.5. The smaller the better but is there a “rule” about the limitation?
