ANSYS 12 Crack Tip Mesh

Hi there, I have a slight problem with the meshing of a crack tip analysis with ANSYS 12. I have a plate of specified width with a 60 deg crack of known geometry and loading on the left side. I plan to use the KCALC command to determine K values and then compare them to theory. I get the following error when I come to mesh the area using mesh-areas-free: "Two of the element edges overlap are too close for meshing to continue. Suggest reducing the element size or cutting the area into smaller regions" The thing is, I have tried the former many times and am unsure how to do the latter and retain the crack geometry. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have uploaded the log file. Thanks. P.S. The file location is http://files.engineering.com/getfile...ucturallog.txt
