I'm trying to mesh a 3D wing body, but i have troubles with the mesh around the tip. See the pictures below.

The geometry consist of a curve for the leading edge and a curve for the trailing edge which end in one point in de tip of the wing body. At the base i have two curves for the wing profile (left and right are separate and symmetric). Finally there are two surfaces (L & R) which closes the body.

At the base I constructed a C-grid, but I cannot finish the mesh al the way to the tip. Most blocks end in one point at the wing tip. I can generate the mesh in ICEM, but when importing this in CFX I get an error.

What kind of bocking strategy should i use?

For the tip I would try to use a hyperbolic mesh generator (not sure if ICEM-CFD can do this), for the main part of the wing a C grid type will do.

Do

Yes, these can be tough to block... But there are always options.

We could look at doing intersecting CGrids... One to wrap around the wing and one to capture the shape of the profile. At some point on the tip, it would need to transition from rounded to sharp... I would need to look closer to see how that would work out.

We could also look at MultiZone (do you need structured multiblock or are swept/unstructured blocks ok too?

i am also going to do almost the same mesh generation. i could not find any tutorial on 3D wing + fluid domain (wind tunnel) simulation using ICEM CFD. i also need some answers and advices.
