Gambit to Fluent error: can't upload Brain Mesh
1 Attachment(s)
Hey, all, thanks for reading this.
I have a problem with a 3-D Brain Volumetric mesh I created in Mimic from MRI images. Basically, I created a 3-D Mesh in Mimic, then smoothed it and constructed a volumetric mesh and defined boundary conditions in GAMBIT. The problem is, when I try to read the .msh file in FLUENT, I get a few errors. I attached an image with the error line I get when I run FLUENT. It could be a variety of things, one of which could be overlapping elements. It could even be an issue with a low-resolution MRI image. In any case, I cannot computate the mesh file of the brain I created because FLUENT cannot read the file. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this, or have any advice on how to avoid this problem? |
*idiot question: did you try to rename your mesh file? (your mesh file has a long string)
*In gambit while you export the mesh you don't get any message meaning your geometry doesn't contain any elements, right? If you go to examine mesh, you can see your mesh? |
Actually, I figured out the problem. The problem was the surface mesh was riddled with problems. The file string was not an issue, but thanks for bringing it to my attention.
