[ANSYS Meshing] Improve T-junction mesh

Hello everybody,

I'm new to ANSYS and I want to run simulations on a T-junction. I have created the following mesh:








Channel diameter is 1 mm and the horizontal pipe is 6 mm long. Air enters through the horizontal inlet, water through the vertical one (both at 0.1 m/s).

Things that I touched:
  • Physics Preference: CFD --> element size: 0.1 mm
  • Inflation --> layers: 12, growth rate: 1.2, max. thickness: 0.1 mm
  • Multizone --> mapped mesh type: hexa, free mesh type: tetra

The total number of elements is 95071.

When running the simulations in OpenFOAM (interFoam solver), the Courant number blows up and the simulation stops, so I assume that the mesh is not good enough (I use a time step of 5 \mu s).
Maybe the corners are a problem?

As you can see I don't have much idea about ANSYS meshing, so I will appreciate any kind of help. Thank you in advance,
