Meshing NACA0012 Airfoil

2 Attachment(s)
hellow there

I have the follwoing domain:
Attachment 5598

the red circled small edge is the inlet, and the green circled edge is the outlet. i want to mesh this domain to get good and reasonable results.

the best mesh i've obtained using ANSYS is the following one :
Attachment 5599
which contains many problems in the mesh itself.

can anybody help me in constructing this mesh using ICEM CFD ?

Hello alnabhani

The geometry looks relatively simpler, you can go for Hexa meshing, you can find few related tutorial and videos for generating hexa grid for aerofoils.

Map it...

Even within ANSYS Meshing, you could draw some lines to chop up the domain a bit into mappable (4 cornered) patches that the mesher will give a better mesh on.

Or perhaps you would rather ask for a triangle mesh from ANSYS Meshing?

If you decide to try ICEM CFD Hexa, you will find a 3 part tutorial on our youtube site...
