I am very new to Gambit and i have no idea about it. I tried to find a solution but it did not work.
I know this is a stupid question, but I am so hurry now.
I have the vertex data of a bathymetry, and I want to generate a 3D mesh. So would you please write down the following steps the create the mesh

Step1: how to create face of bathymetry from vertex data in detail
Step2: how to mesh.... (in detail)

Any help would be appreciated!

Yours hurriedly

Well, the first thing i would say is "don't be in a hurry." This will take some time. The first thing you may want to consider is what your data represents, i.e. is your bathymetry data from a river? if so, does it include the banks, floodplains? or is it lake bathymetry, ocean, etc?

For rivers, i've used cross-sections measured in the field to interpolate surfaces in ICEM-CFD. If your data is not organized into cross-sections, you maybe able to use GIS to help interpolate cross-sections. I've used HEC-GeoRAS for this. It can export XYZ text files that can be read in ICEM. Hope this helps,

john
