What can I employ to create geometry besides Gambit?

Hi everyone,

I've used Fluent with Gambit for some years. However, my lab just bought the license of ansys 13 fluent, in which Gambit had been removed. Could you please suggest other softwares/ansys products that can be used to create geometry? Thanks you very mcuh.

Inside workbench you will find the DesignModeler tool that is parametric and persistent and more than a match for the Gambit geometry tools... Actually, the product manager for DM was previously the product manager for Gambit. All the Gambit geometry developers also moved over to the larger DM team.

Just drag an ANSYS Fluent system onto the desktop and follow the process. It will walk you thru geometry, meshing, setup, etc.

There are also a variety of tutorials available on the customer portal. Ask your schools IT department to download those for you or get you your own access.
