Hello everybody,

I created a complex geomtry, imported it to Gambit and meshed it. Does anybody know whether there is a way to measure this geomtry (length of the single parts, diameter etc.)? I have seen that there is a "ruler option" at Gambit, but due to the complexity of the problem it would much better, if I could select two points of the geometry and measure the length in between (or something similar). Does anybody know how I could solve this problem (maybe by using another software/freeware which can import *.neu or *.msh files. The software I have access to is Gambit and Fluent). Unfortunately I cannot save the geometry as *.stp or *.igs, due to non-real parts at the geometry.

Thank you in advance!
With best regards,
Lilly

-mAx- will become famous soon enough
to measure distance between 2 points, here is what I do:
Create edge from the 2 points, and go to summarize edges.
It will give you the length from the edge.
Then delete your edge if you don't need it anymore.

just go to volumetric geometry and there's an "i" (summerize volume) icon click on it tjen select your volume, now u can see the detail on transcript box
