delaneyluke is on a distinguished road
Hi,
I'm stumped on the strategy to use to block a single blade sector model of a centrifugal pump impeller. The sector has a single blade, a piece of the casing and shroud. I know there has to be an O-grid around the blade but how do i include blocking to capture the Shroud and casing as well.
I know i need to upload pics but unfortunately i cannot.
Any advice would be extremely helpful

Thanks & Regards
LD

Then upload a sketch...

Is the blade rotating within the stationary casing and shroud?

Often we would put a cylinder between the two (to represent the rotational interface) and block each side separately and then combine them in the solver. Does that simplify things enough for you?

Best regards,

Simon
