[ Gambit problem] unstructured mesh

1 Attachment(s)
hi all,

please tell me how to change the meshing ( see attached pic.) so that all the lines along X or Y axis in the mesh become parallel to each other , so that i can get a structured mesh. I have already hard linked parallel edges to each other before grading, with successive ratio as 1.

Hi,

hope this picture will help you modify your mesh.
(in black the line that will help you build your geometry)

hi AdrienL,

i couldn't get you.

My requirement is i want all the lines along X axis as parallel to each other and similarly for the lines along Y axis so that i can have an structured mesh. For that I have divided all the sides of the outer box into three segments, so that the middle segment of each side is of exactly the same length as the corresponding side of the inner box (Please see the picture attached in my last post). Then while meshing i have ensured that the number of nodes ( successive ratio = 1) in the middle segment of outer box is same as corresponding side of inner box expecting that the mesh will automatically align the corresponding nodes such that all the lines along X or Y axis are parallel to each other. But as you can see in the picture that they are not.

Hope i have explained my problem clearly. Can you please elaborate the solution a little more, since i am new to Gambit.

thanks,
satyendra
