Creating 3d Elbow geometries of different bend angles

Hi all,
I want to create a 3d elbow geometries of angle 90, 60, 45 in gambit 2.3.16. Please help me i doing this. I know it is pretty simple job but i am not able to do it. It would be very nice if anyone can help me and guide the steps that should i follow to create it. Thanks & Regards Shubham Mishra |

*create first cylinder as volume

As suggested by you, i had already tried it but i am not able to get the smooth bend at the joining face. I also attach the picture of it. Kindly suggest some more steps for it.. Thanks in advance Shubham |

ah ok, I missed "bend angle"
Then you can use sweep function: draw the path for your geometry (chain of axis), create the source disk and sweep with edges *create the source disk (cap cylinder) *from its center (you need to create the center as vertice) sweep it with desire height (will be cylinder height) *continue the path, by creating the arc (for example you can create 2 vertices, but there are other methods) *finish the path by sweeping end's arc-vertice with desire cylinder height *Once your path is generated you can sweep your disk with edge (maybe you need to merge the 3 edges) http://my.fit.edu/itresources/manual...e_create_sweep http://my.fit.edu/itresources/manual...dge_create_arc http://my.fit.edu/itresources/manual...eom_volm_sweep

while sweeping it, an ACIS error 73006 message: The chain to be sweept is parallel to the path..

what are you sweeping= vertice or surface?

sweep surface with edge
If it failed: split your path in 3 portions: line, bend, line and sweep surface 3 times: one time with first line, second time with bend and finally with second line

ok then I understand sweeps along lines are ok.
Check your radius it seems to be quite small, that could be the reason

*enable perpendicular option in sweep surface tool*Your bend radius has to be greater than cylinder radius else you have self-intersection problem
