This is slightly embarassing....
I have started working through the DM tutorials and have "lost" my graphics window. Despite trawling through the menus, I can not get it back. I have tried View>windows>reset layout, with no luck. And have restarted machine etc. Only "Details View" and "Tree Outline" are visible. Any ideas greatly recieved. |

Any takers?
User preferences must be stored is some file somewhere on the computer. I need to find it and delete it. Is it in the v110 folder? Or does anyone know of a short cut key to view the graphics window? |

Hi,
What if even if I move the windows, I still cannot find the option "Reset Layout" under the View-->Windows. I can see Section Planes but that is not active. Thank you in advance. |

Hi jmboac,
just play with the windows, there will be a "Pin" located on right top of each window as shown in pics posted by Far, just click on it and see if graphic window comes back Also check if its not "read only mode" and bottom left says "ready" in design modeler Hope it helps Kapi |

Hi,
I've got some problem. I don't know how to fix it. The "Details View" is missing. And the windows is separated. There is no "Reset Graphics layout" in the "View" menu. Thank you. Alexander. |

Hi Friends this problem has occurred today with one of my friend, you have to drag each window to centre where you can see joystick buttons keep them on required side of buttons and they will get fixed there.

The problem still exist in 2017 on Ubuntu 16.04 TLS. Maybe it's about OS or bad installation or a bug that's not yet fixed .... I did not have the problem on Windows but Ansys workbench keeps constantly crashing every 5 or 10 minutes with a mesh around 1,000,000 elements on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. By the way, the Window> Reset Layout from the View menu is missing on Ubuntu. This is a nightmare! You have to play between pin and unpin until you get the windows fit into their places. I can't believe that I have to spend fifteen minutes to replace windows in 2017.

Double clicking on the blue bar at the top of each window fixed the problem. However, all the windows have to be pinned. Things still get messy even with the double click when some of the windows are unpinned while others are pinned.

Hello, it is normal to not to see it in design modeler, try to check out how to deal with toolbars of view problems from the design modeler user guide Or simply try to check out every option you have in the menus.
Thanks |
