Basically I have been trying to build a geometry within ICEM and mesh it. However when I open the mesh in fluent I get a critical error. ANyway, I'll list the steps I'm doing:

1. Create points
2. Put lines between points
3. Define the body
4. Blocking
5. Associating edges and curves
6. Defining the boundary conditions
6. Creating a pre-mesh.
7. Creating unstructured mesh
8. Creating output file mesh.

Am I missing a really important step here? Sorry for being such a nublet.

The blocking and pre-mesh I've attached. Thanks!

it is simple geometry, there shouldn't be any problem. attach blocking and tin file

modified geometry (same geometry but created new edges and points to facilitate the blocking and also created surface) and blocking is attached.

also find another topology and I have also attached the replay script so that you can understand the steps.I think this is better than previous one.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to help me with this! Gave me an idea how to set up the geometry. I have done a pre-mesh and the quality has been very good.

Also when opening fluent, do I opt for the 2d dimension to run a 2d simulation? I have never done 2d simulations before so I might be missing very important steps to make it run. Maybe thats why it gives me back "wrong dimensions" error.

Again thanks!

Yes you need to opt for 2d. As I remember that for 2d simulation mesh should be in x-y plane please correct me if I am wrong.
