Error message: Cannot link faces due to all loops of edges not being specified

Hi all ,

I am using GAMBIT software to model the flow between two gas turbine blades, I am trying to specify periodic/cyclic boundary conditions to the flow before and after the blades and keep getting the above error message whenever I try to hard link the faces. My procedure up until this point is as follows,

If the two opposite faces are assumed to be rectangular:
Mesh edges of one of the faces and hard link them, no error so far.
Mesh the faces of one side and attempt to hard link them using the edges and vertices required in the box, here is where the error message appears saying that I cannot link them.

I have tried a variety of different combinations of meshing and linking but cannot get further than trying to hard link the faces.

If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated as I cant seem to find this error message or any solutions anywhere on Google.

Thanks

Can you reproduce your issue on a simple cube by trying to hard-link opposite faces?

Do you have more than one edge making up each of the edges of the rectangular end faces? This error message is common in these situations.

can you please attach the snap shot of gambit screen?

Solution to problem

Hi all, I have managed to sort the problem very simply, instead of selecting all vertices of the faces i want to link I just selected one on each face and this solved the problem! Thanks for all suggestions!
