F1 Front Wing Meshing

1 Attachment(s)
Hi,

I am having a few issues meshing this F1 front wing in Gambit particularly at the transition point from the centre section to larger main element. I am getting two largely skewed (>0.97) tri's. Is this likely to be an issue with the geometry or meshing scheme.

I am using an unstructured box mesh immediately around the wing and the rest of the domain is a structured quad volume.

Any Suggestions?

Cheers

can you post picture from your mesh and another one with a zoom of skewed elements

I can certainly post a picture when I get access in about 30 minutes. I can't locate the skewed cells however. Is there a way in Gambit to do this?

yes.
Go to examine mesh (bottom right), and then in range you give the lower value (0.9 for instance).
If upper limit is 1, gambit will display all cells withi skewness between 0.9 and 1.
Or you can also enable "worst element" option, gambit will automatically zoom on worst element
