Hi,

I am using the tetra/prism meshing platform in ICEM 13. Firstly, I create a tetra mesh, do all the relevant smoothing to increase the mesh quality.

I need to resolve the boundary layer around the profile. To do this I am utilising prism layers.

Question; is there a limit to the number of prisms layers which can be created from the surface of interest? There seems to be an issue with the number of nodes once you create more than a certain number of layers, is this something to do with spacing or simply a limitation.

Thanks in advance for any advice
