Meshing a periodic mesh

Hello
I am currently trying to find out the drag coefficient of a mesh. The mesh has to be infinite with no end effects. I need help with meshing such that a periodic boundary condition can be applied. I modelled this by creating fluid as a rectangle and putting in the mesh at the centre. I used mapped face meshing and scaled every edge but when i import it into fluent and try to apply the periodic boundary condition, it gives me an error saying not all faces match. I believe I'm doing something wrong with the meshing but I don't know what. Please do let me know what can be done to resolve this problem.

Thank You

You need to use mesh matching in ANSYS Meshing.

Search the help for "match" or "matching" and you should find what you are looking for.

Got it. Able to use the periodic boundary condition. Thank You very much.
