Have a look at the 3D Fluid Structure Interaction example of a Pulse Damper on http://www.adina.com/newsgH107.shtml

The body is deforming a huge amount. They use a fully coupled analysis.

I am quite late in responding. pls register on ansys website, there are some fsi tutorials. this is my first time on ansys as I am a postgrad student. also if you have any more tutorials that you might have organized for 1-way and 2-way FSI, please advise if you can send them to me and I shall post my email id

Hi! I would like to do the tutorial. However, I don't have access to the customer portal, hence the geometry file. Can someone help me with this? I would like to figure out how to do the geometry.

So there's a solid for the plate. For the fluid body, is it a solid box or a solid box with a hollow (displaced by the plate)?

hi, i am also a new user of CFX that began almost half of a year. in my viewpoint, to preform the examples following the ANSYS help is necessary and effective for you to be famillar with CFX.

for the FIS tutorials, the path of it in ANSYS help is that :

ANSYS Help System/CFX/Tutorials/23.Oscillating Plate with Two-Way Fluid -Structure Interaction.

and the related Fluid-Solid geommetry file can be found in you PC as follows:
...Program Files/Ansys Inc/V140/CFX/examples/OscillatingPlate.agdb
(my ANSYS edition is 14.0, if yours is 12.0, v140 should be V120 instead.)

hope it helps.

You can download them on the ansys homepage.

Does anybody know how to run a two - way Fluent/transient structural simulation on a hpc cluster?

Thank you!
