Outline tree hidden
I've somehow managed to lose the outline view in CFD-Post and cannot work out how to get it back! I've looked in the documentation but I can't seem to find what I need.
If anyone would be able to enlighten me as to how to do this, it would be much appreciated. http://i1245.photobucket.com/albums/...s/CFD-Post.jpg |
The issue has been sorted now and this thread can now be closed. I was being incredibly dumb...

Outline tree hidden in CFX-pre
In my case, outline tree was hidden in CFX-pre.
I used dual monitors. The outline tree disappeared and became inactive when I touched it on the slave monitor. It was activated when the CFX window was placed on the master monitor. Try it! |
search: Reset
I meet the same issue after a period of using ANSYS. I find the solution with:
''Try typing "reset" in the quick launch. Edit: actually there is a reset layout button in the picture, left side.'' by LSK100 from Reddit |
I just had this happen - when I tried to import a CCL file in CFX-Pre. I have not found a way to make the outline tree visible again, and it seems to be a system setting, so I have the same issue with all CFX projects on the machine. I'm not sure what the reset layout button that Papes mentions is.
Update: Well this is crazy. I tried sliding the left end of the message window to the right, and now I see the Outline tree, but no 3D viewing window. There must be a way to reset to the default layout, but I can't find it. Update 2: I had been experiencing other oddities with this particular install (2022 R1) on this machine. I have 3 monitors, and if I displayed CFX-Pre on the one monitor that has 100% scaling (the other 2 use 150% scaling) the toolbar was mangled. If I moved CFX-Pre to one of the monitors that had 150% scaling, the toolbar looked perfect, but any pop-up menus or hover-text boxes recently started showing up on a different monitor. I ended up uninstalling Ansys, deleting the .cfx folder in my user folder, deleting all remnants of Ansys in the Programs folder, and then reinstalling. Now everything seems fine, but a wasted hour. The display of CFX-Pre is now good in the monitor with no scaling, but corrupted a bit in the monitors with scaling, but that's the way it used to be, so I guess - back to normal. |
