Fluent error

Dot product of flow direction and area normal is zero.
Check the specified flow direction on Mass Flow Inlet boundary
conditions for thread 8..this was the error i m getting when i m trying to simulate flow of the air in a room to find temperature and velocity profiles.i m new to this software and if its a amateur question..please bear with me

A dot product of zero between the face normal vector and the flow vector indicates that they are orthogonal. This way, no flow can enter the domain at this boundary.

Verify the direction vector of your boundary condition and make sure it has a component pointing towards the surface normal vector. I guess you just confused x and y components of the velocity vector.

thanks there

I have same cases like that. I've been already input for the direction. But the problem still show up

backdoor

Why cant really programs have at least the most basic backdoor?
And why is mass flow not defaultly prependicular to surface. One writes value and vuala this junk cant eve crash properly. It just gets stuck and have to be manually killed via procesess.
