zx9cp is on a distinguished road
Hi all,

Im attempting to develop a method of simulating fuel/air mixing in a gas turbine premixer but want to validate against a simple case first.

Ive found a study regarding mixture in a venturi tube but it has limited data for comparison. I do have access to a study in which propane is used instead of methane but I'm concerned the fact that propane is heavier than air (as opposed to methane being lighter than air) will not give me a good basis from which to work with a methane/air mixture.

What do you think? Could I do a simple study of propane/air mixing and transfer the method to a complex simulation of methane/air mixing?

Thanks
