Problem in sampling data of custom field function in ANSYS FLUENT v14
 

Hi all,

I'm doing a transient Large Eddy Simulation of chemical (sf6) dispersion using ANSYS FLUENT v14. Now I am trying to gather data of mean molar concentration of sf6 after the flow had achieved statistically steady state. However, there are only mass fraction variable in the drop down menu of sampling options. So, I created a custom field function by selecting species -> molar concentration of sf6 and renaming it to default name (custom-field-0) and then highlighted the newly created custom field in the sampling options to command the fluent to gather the mean data of the custom field function.

Here is the problem. Although I set it to collect data for 20 seconds, the simulation suddenly stop and freezes after 3 seconds of time sampled (OS is not freezes though). If I did not create the custom field function, the software can run smoothly. :confused:

Can anyone tell me what caused the software to freezes and how can I collect the mean of molar concentration? Thank you.
