Hi,

I am very new to CFD and have only had one tutorial on the software ANSYS FLUENT 14.5 and workbench 14.5.

I am trying to create a simple 2D model representing a moving piston in an open ended pipe. The pipe has a constant diameter of 50mm. Eventually I want to model a moving piston in a rapid compression machine, but to get to grips with the software and modelling, I have decided to start with a simple open ended cylinder.

I have seen some video examples of this using dynamic meshing to represent a moving piston
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KadTHtkCxKA, I want to simulate a model similar to this, but the end of the cylinder to be open-ended.
I cannot find any tutorials for how to simulate this model, only tutorials of dynamic meshing with a valve rather than piston, and these tutorials are from a much older version of the program.

If anybody could help me or point me to a more relevant, updated tutorial that would be very helpful.

Thanks,
Lisa

You Should Define moving mesh . and similar example is in Fluent tutorials. That would help you.
