Need help with ansys fluent !!!

hey guyz,
I am new to ansys.I need a little guidance on how to do the analysis in fluent to find the pressure distribution in the case shown in figure..
The rotational velocity is 8000 rpm.
Inlet mass flow rate is not known.
Outlet pressure is the atmospheric pressure.
how to choose the computational domain and give the boundary conditions???
any help is appreciated.

You should check the tutorials for a similar case. I never did rotational flow in Fluent, I have no idea how to setup this case, if anyone else can enlighten us ...

my 2 cents

I guess that you would like to know the pressure force on the plate? From what ik see in your drawing you should
- Use a MRF approach
- Decide where to place your inlet and outlet so that it resembles reality and keeps you simulation stable.
- Make sure that you have the correct geometry for the fan and the other components
- Construct a high quality mesh with a boundary layer so that you can use k-w SST.

Thank you TomP for the reply

I can import the assembled component done in solidworks and do the analysis ....right?

Should I choose compressible flow...the fan is rotating at 9000 rpm ?

Can i choose a computational domain as shown in the figure and give pressure boundary conditions at the walls ?

Thanks in advance...
