Hi,
I am quite new to Ansys so I am not really aware of how to determine what is wrong. I am trying to run an IC analysis with an imported part from Solidworks. I am trying to use the Input Manager function, but I cannot seem to get the valve seat correct. I have tried to follow the ICE tutorials from Ansys with no luck. I tried just using a cross section of the model, but that did not help much. The part will just not decompose properly (From the tutorial, I would imagine that this is vital). Since, the geometry is not correct, I cannot get the part to mesh. Any help would be appreciated. I have attached a Solidworks complete model and a cross section. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Hi,
I had the same problem with file from Inventor. In my case solution was to export my geometry file to .igs, and everything works fine. |
