Hello every one

i am getting divergent error in ansys polyflow while trying to simulate white metzner model.

i have used polydata to fit the material properties. i have used three data tables viz. 1.viscosity vs. shear rate...2. frequency vs storage modulus....3. frequency vs loss modulus..
power law for viscosity is selected since i need variable viscosity values

my geometry is 2D axis symmetric.
boundary conditions used:::
1. inflow and outflow (volume flow rate) in the inlet and outlet
2. normal velocity and tangential force zero at the wall.(that means slip condition assumed)

i have used evolution scheme in relaxation time [ f(S)=S ].

but in getting divergent error in between the solution updating process.
view listing shows that divergent has occurred..
i have tried many times but getting different different errors related to divergent..\

please help me a little bit.

Hi all,

I have used Evolution task with simpified viscoelastic sub-task and bir-carreau law in polyflow solver for the analysis of rubber flow through a die in extrusion process.

I am getting the following error in my simulation:

Divergence detected for field CHI_DOT: iterations cancelled by Expert System
Divergence detected for field VELOCITIES: iterations cancelled by Expert System
Divergence detected for field COORDINATES: iterations cancelled by Expert System

Divergence of influent solver occured !

*** WARNING *** from [EVOLUT]
First step does not converge
It is not possible to start the evolution scheme

Anyone faced the same issue? Which evolution function is best for the above problem.

Use f(S)=1/S , may be it helps u.

Dear Sowntharya kindly send me the details of the material data file that you are using along with the Generalized Simulation model you are using. I might be able to help as I was facing the same errors before but have got rid of them now.
